Luxury Private Tours in MOROCCO
Ancient medinas. Saharan silence. A kingdom of extraordinary contrasts.
Our tailor-made private tours combine expert local guides, handpicked riads and desert camps, and curated experiences from the labyrinthine souks of Marrakech to the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.
WHY VISIT MOROCCO?
Morocco captivates like few other destinations. It is a country where the ancient and the contemporary exist in remarkable proximity, where a 13th-century tannery operates exactly as it has for centuries, minutes from a rooftop restaurant serving the finest contemporary Moroccan cuisine.
What makes Morocco exceptional for the discerning traveller is the sheer variety compressed into a single journey. In ten days you can move from a candlelit riad in the Fès medina to a luxury tented camp under Saharan stars, through ancient kasbahs and Berber mountain villages, to the Atlantic coast and its whitewashed fishing towns.
Many travelers combine Morocco with Spain or Portugal for a rich Mediterranean and North African journey, or with Egypt for a broader exploration of North Africa's ancient heritage.

Best Time to Visit MOROCCO
Spring (March to May) is the finest season to visit Morocco. The imperial cities are warm and clear, the Atlas mountains are still snow-capped but fully accessible, the rose harvest transforms the Dadès Valley, and the Sahara heat has not yet become intense. This is our most recommended window, particularly for those combining Marrakech with the desert and the imperial cities.
Autumn (September to November) offers an equally beautiful experience. Temperatures are ideal for Sahara excursions, the saffron harvest begins in the Taliouine region, and the light across Morocco in September is extraordinary. The medinas feel slightly quieter than in spring, and this is an excellent window for combining Morocco with southern Spain.
Summer (June to August) is best suited to the Atlantic coast and northern Morocco. Marrakech and the desert interior can be intensely hot, but Essaouira, Tangier and Asilah enjoy cooling sea breezes and are wonderful in summer. Those focusing on coastal Morocco will find this a very appealing season.
Winter (December to February) is genuinely underrated. The imperial cities are at their most atmospheric, the Sahara is cool and clear by day, and snowfall on the High Atlas creates dramatic scenery. Marrakech is mild rather than cold, and riads with fireplaces make for some of the most memorable stays of the year.

From a candlelit dinner with a local family in the medina to a sunrise over the Sahara, these are the experiences that define a Jakuna Morocco journey.
CHEFCHAOUEN & THE RIF MOUNTAINS
Tucked into the folds of the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen is one of Morocco's most atmospheric towns. THE MEMORY ROAD
An extraordinary private experience through Morocco's most cinematic landscapes. The Memory Road takes you along ancient routes connecting kasbahs, oases and Saharan villages, with expert storytelling that reveals the history, people and culture that shaped this remarkable country. One of the most singular journeys available in Morocco today.
CRAFT WORKSHOPS & ARTISAN ENCOUNTERS
Go behind the souks and into the workshops where Morocco's great craft traditions are kept alive. Watch master craftsmen hand-cut zellij tiles, shape clay on spinning pottery wheels and weave intricate patterns into Berber rugs. Discover the metalworkers and woodcarvers of the medina bazaars, and take home pieces with a story rather than a souvenir.
RIAD STAYS: LIVING INSIDE MOROCCAN ARCHITECTURE
A riad is not simply a hotel. It is a world turned inward, where a carved cedar doorway opens onto a courtyard of fountains, orange trees and hand-painted tilework. We select properties that are exceptional in their architecture, their hospitality and their location within the medina, placing you at the very heart of Moroccan life.
MOROCCO FOOD TOURS & PRIVATE CULINARY EXPERIENCES
Moroccan cuisine is best understood from the inside. Explore the medina on a private food tour, navigating spice stalls, olive markets and street food stops that no guidebook lists. Share a slow dinner with a local family in their home, or join a hands-on cooking class in a Marrakech riad learning to prepare tagine, bastilla and harira from scratch.
SIDECAR TOUR: MARRAKECH ON WHEELS
One of the most unexpected and memorable ways to experience Marrakech. A vintage sidecar weaves through the medina's outer neighbourhoods, the Palmeraie and the historic ramparts with a local driver who knows every hidden corner of the city. Intimate, unhurried and genuinely unlike anything else on offer.
PICNIC IN THE HIGH ATLAS
A half-day experience that stays with travellers long after they leave Morocco. Your guide leads you into the valleys above Marrakech, past Berber villages and walnut groves, to a spot chosen for its views and its silence. A spread of local breads, olives, cheeses and mint tea is laid out in the open air, with the Atlas peaks above and nothing but birdsong around you.
THE SAHARA BY CAMEL & PRIVATE DESERT CAMP
The approach to the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset, by camel, is one of the world's great travel arrivals. Your private desert camp awaits beyond the first ridge, with handmade Berber tents, a private chef, lantern light and a sky so full of stars it is difficult to believe. Fall asleep to complete silence and wake to a sunrise over dunes that stretch to the horizon.

Frequently Asked Questions About Traveling to MOROCCO
-
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the finest seasons, offering warm clear days across the country and ideal conditions in both the imperial cities and the Sahara. Summer is best suited to the Atlantic coast where sea breezes keep temperatures comfortable. Winter is excellent for the imperial cities and for a Saharan experience with cool, clear desert days. Morocco is a genuinely year-round destination and the right time depends on which regions you are prioritising.
-
Yes. Morocco is a well-established and popular tourist destination with excellent infrastructure in its main travel regions. The areas covered on a private luxury itinerary, including Marrakech, Fès, the Sahara and the High Atlas, are all considered safe and visited by millions of international travellers annually. As with any destination, standard travel awareness applies, and our local guides and partners are available throughout your journey.
-
US, UK, EU, Canadian and Australian passport holders do not require a visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days in Morocco. Entry is straightforward at all major airports. We always confirm the latest entry requirements for your specific passport before travel, as regulations can change.
-
We recommend a minimum of eight to ten days for a first Morocco journey combining Marrakech, one or two imperial cities and the Sahara at a comfortable pace. For those wanting to add the Atlantic coast, the High Atlas or Chefchaouen, ten to fourteen days is ideal. Morocco rewards slow travel and rushing between destinations diminishes the experience significantly.
-
Moroccan cuisine is one of the world's great culinary traditions. Slow-cooked tagines, crispy bastilla, preserved lemons, argan oil, fresh seafood on the Atlantic coast and the ritual of Moroccan mint tea are just some of what awaits. Morocco's food culture is deeply regional and we weave curated culinary experiences throughout all our itineraries, from private medina food tours to dinners with local families.
-
Marrakech and its medina, the medieval city of Fès, the Sahara dunes at Erg Chebbi, the imperial grandeur of Meknès, the blue streets of Chefchaouen and the Atlantic charm of Essaouira are among the country's most extraordinary destinations. The route through the High Atlas and the kasbahs of the Draa Valley is equally unmissable for those wanting to go deeper into Morocco's landscape and history.
-
Absolutely. Morocco pairs naturally with Spain, particularly Andalusia, for a journey that traces the shared Moorish heritage connecting both countries across the Strait of Gibraltar. It also combines beautifully with Portugal for a broader Iberian and North African circuit, or with Egypt for those wishing to explore North Africa more deeply. We design all multi-country itineraries as fully tailor-made private journeys.
-
The difference in Morocco is considerable. The medinas of Fès and Marrakech are deliberately labyrinthine and navigating them without a guide means missing the vast majority of what they contain. A private expert guide opens doors to places not accessible to the public and transforms what would otherwise be a visual experience into a deeply understood one. The logistics of moving between the imperial cities, the mountains and the Sahara, with the right properties at each stop, is precisely what our travel designers handle for you.
